Every member of Ms Wickens’s book club has a secret, but a secret is only a secret if one person knows about it…<\/p>\n

Elke vrou wat in 1955 woon, weet dat die beste boekklubs drie sleutelbestanddele het: koek, geheime en bloed (maar die beste soort!). Om ‘n lid van me Wicken se boekklub te wees is ‘n eer omdat sy ‘n spesiale band tussen haar lede kweek; ‘n band wat so sterk is dat die vroue hulself as susters beskou. Maar susterskap is soos fyn porselein; pragtig, skaars .. en broos. Niks is soos dit lyk nie. Elke lid van Me Wickens se boekklub het ‘n geheim, maar ‘n geheim is net ‘n geheim as een persoon daarvan weet…<\/p>\n

n’ groep van oorlewendes bevind hulle, ver van enige beskawing af, in die onheilspellende afgesonderheid van n verlate hotel wassery waar die tyd super traag verloop en oneindig uitstrek terwyl die honger pyne begin knaag. Soos die dae stadig voortsleep, sal desperaatheid hulle tot by die afgrond en rand van hulle menslikeid forseer. Deur sy wil en genade sal hulle alles in hulle mag doen om te oorlewe- al beteten dit om die ondenkbare te aanvaar.<\/p>\n

Soos oupa altyd ges\u00ea het: \u201cJy kan nie \u2018n doos wees op Kersfees nie, jy draai hom toe en sit n strik om.\u201d<\/p>\n
