_module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; text_font_size=&#8221;16px&#8221; text_line_height=&#8221;1.8em&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Die navorsingstema van die uitvoerende en visuele kunste handel oor die studie van verskillende vorms van kunsuitdrukking, soos die teater, dans, musiek,\n, film en die visuele kunste. Hierdie navorsing put uit \u0149 groot verskeidenheid velde binne die geesteswetenskappe, soos kunsgeskiedenis, teaterstudies, musikologie,\n, en kultuurstudies. Navorsers binne hierdie tema stel beland in die verkenning van die verskillende aspekte van kunsproduksie, -uitvoering en -ontvangs. Dit sluit in die ondersoek van vrae soos\n: Hoe skep en kommunikeer kunstenaars betekenis deur hulle werk?  Wat is die maatskaplike en kulturele kontekste waarbinne verskillende vorms van kuns geproduseer en verbruik word? Watter rolle speel die gehoor en toeskouers in die skep en ontvangs van kuns? Hoe vorm kuns ons\n begrip van verskillende kulturele en geskiedkundige kontekste? Die navorsing in hierdie tema fokus dikwels op die noukeurige ontleding van spesifieke kunswerke, en ook die faktore wat die skepping en ontvangs daarvan vorm. Byvoorbeeld, navorsers kan die uitbeelding van gender of ras in \u0149 spesifieke film ontleed, of die politieke boodskappe wat deur \u0149 openbare kunswerk oorgedra word, ondersoek.
