_module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; text_font_size=&#8221;16px&#8221; text_line_height=&#8221;1.8em&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Die navorsingsgebied van konflik, geweld en versoening omvat \u0149 multi-dissiplin\u00eare ondersoek van die oorsake, dinamika en gevolge van \ngewelddadige konflik, asook strategie\u00eb vir die bewerkstelliging van volhoubare vrede en die herbou van samelewings n\u00e1 konflik.  Hierdie gebied is deurslaggewend vir \u0149 begrip van hoe samelewings die erflatings van geweld\nand kan aanpak en versoening onder verdeelde gemeenskappe kan aankweek. Konflik kan in baie verskillende kontekste voorkom, waaronder in persoonlike verhoudings, organisasies en nasies. Baie navorsers in die fakulteit fokus op konflik en versoening en die proses van die herstel van verhoudings tussen individue of groepe wat deur konflik of geweld skade gely het.  Hierdie navorsing sluit in die bestudering van geskiedkundige trauma, konflikbeslegting en faktore\n wat tot geslaagde versoeningspogings bydra. Ander fokus meer op direkte  vorms van geweld, waaronder oorlog, terrorisme, gesinsgeweld en die effek van gewelddadige misdade op die samelewing.
