We are excited to announce the launch of our food bank and sanitary pads drive for FASS. This drive aims to address the issue of food insecurity among our students. Following a recent survey conducted to assess the need for support among our students and a sandwich drive organised by BASC, it is without a doubt that there is a need for us to meet our students where we can. We are reaching out to both staff members and students within our faculty to contribute non-perishable food items and sanitary pads.
This collaborative initiative involves our Student Support office, BASC, the Social Impact Committee, and the Transformation Committee. The collected items will be made available to students enrolled in our faculty who indicate a need. We plan to continue the drive as long as there is a demand. All donations are voluntary, and we encourage those who can contribute. Below is a list of items our students indicated on the survey that would benefit them. This only serves as a guide but is not limited to what one could contribute
To ensure accessibility, we have established 3 collection points throughout our faculty. If collection is preferred, you may arrange with myself for a suitable time.
